Fetishes and Shame
When people start to work on their sexuality, it is quite normal to realize that sex is about preferences and needs. That is when people start to develop their particular fetishes.
The meaning of this term comes from the French “fétiche”; from Portuguese “feitiço”; from Latin “facticius”, "artificial" and “facere”, "to make" is a natural object believed to have supernatural powers, or in particular an object created by people that has power over people.
According to many researches, there are many different fetishes. There is not a list of them; a solid one; what exist is a gathering of people that, somehow can share the same desires regarding sex. Fetish can be so particular from people to people that it might happen that a few that never have been discussed before, to exist.
There are those fetishes that people like to wear some unusual outfits to enhance sex time, like: nurse, doctor, priest, leather, devil and much more. There are people fascinated by some body parts, like feet, hands, mouth, hair and all you can imagine.
Of course what was quoted above could be considered soft-core fetishes. There are those harder for some people to understand. Some people can think some sexual practices are grosse, but in fact, what two people agree to do in sex time, is ok. There are some people that are up to experiment some more visceral things like brown shower – that can be considered the practice of defecate on your sexual partner – and golden shower – that is the same said before but with urine.
It is important to understand that preferences are different of fetishes. Preference is some gathered knowledge acquired with time and experiences, sexually speaking.
Fetishes are centralized ideas of sex with some intimate thinking about “how good would it be if she/he would”. Fetishes are, most of the times, related to some object, some palpable thing, just like said above.
The only thing that can mess up with fetishes ideas and concepts is that a very little part of people really admit they are into some “weird” practice. A fetish always comes with some feeling of guilt or shame. The best people have to do in such cases is to seek for some other people that share the same desires and to practice it – always with respect.
